Privacy Policy

Overview

PerAI helps users read, summarize, and chat with documents. This policy explains what is collected, how it is used, and how account deletion works.

Information we collect

• •Account information from Google sign-in such as email/account identifier
• •Firebase/auth identifiers
• •Usage and quota information
• •Generated summaries, reading modes, extracted text, and related generated artifacts when processed by PerAI services
• •Purchase and entitlement information from Google Play
• •Support communications
• •Technical logs needed for reliability and abuse prevention

Original files

Original files stay local on the user's device. Original files are not backed up by PerAI. If the user chooses features that generate summaries or chat context, generated outputs or extracted/generated content may be processed by PerAI services.

Generated content and chat

Generated summaries and reading modes may be stored or processed server-side. Server chat backup is not available in this launch. Chat history should not be treated as permanently backed up by PerAI.

Purchases and billing

Android purchases are handled through Google Play. PerAI receives purchase and entitlement information needed to validate subscriptions and boosts. Payment details are handled by Google Play, not directly by PerAI.

Retention

Account, usage, and entitlement records are retained as needed to operate the service. Generated server-side data may become unavailable after approximately 30 days. Generated server-side data may be deleted after approximately 60 days. Local files remain on the user's device and are controlled by the user.

Account deletion

Users can delete their PerAI account through the app where available. Users can contact support@perai.io for help. Deletion removes server-side PerAI account data according to the service design. Deleting PerAI does not delete the user's Google account. Local files on the device are not deleted by server-side account deletion.

Service providers

We use hosting and infrastructure providers, Firebase/Google authentication, Google Play billing, and AI/document-processing infrastructure where applicable to operate the service.

International use

PerAI is intended for international use. Data may be processed where service providers operate.

Children

PerAI is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time.
